The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Savannah District) has released a Draft Environmental Assessment (EA) and Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the Tybee Island Shoreline Protection Project, evaluating future beach renourishment activities through 2036.

The public comment period is open January 9 through January 23, 2026, closing at midnight.
